October 2007 | New Eurowings Winter Schedule

At the schedule meeting on 17th August 2007 the 2007/08 Lufthansa winter schedule, covering the period from 28th October 2007 to 29th March 2008, was presented to the public. There are 1,346 flights a week to 42 destinations in 15 countries. Düsseldorf and Frankfurt airports have consolidated their position at the heart of the Eurowings route network but Hanover and Nuremberg are also home to one or two aircraft.

The Düsseldorf–Stuttgart route is once again covered by the BAe fleet after the temporary use of Contact Air turboprop machines. The Düsseldorf-Dresden route is thus once again covered by CityLine. A new destination in the Eurowings schedule is Stavanger in Norway, an important centre of the Norwegian oil industry. There are two BAe 146 flights a day from Frankfurt, one of which is a night-stop. This means the Marseille night-stop is dispensed with, even though there are still flights during the day from Düsseldorf and Frankfurt. The night-stop in the current schedule in Turin will be replaced by one in Bologna.

In the winter schedule the two new CRJ 700 aircraft will connect Düsseldorf to Madrid, Milan, Nice, Rome, Stockholm and Valencia. This last city appears for the first time as a destination in the winter schedule.
